UC Berkeley Study Abroad Fair - For exhibitors

Overview

What is the Fair?

Sponsored by Berkeley Study Abroad, the Study Abroad Fair is UC Berkeley's showcase for study, work, intern, and volunteer abroad opportunities. The annual Study Abroad Fair attracts over 1,500 UC Berkeley students and 80 exhibitors, making it one of the largest events of its kind on the West Coast.

Who Should Attend?

Organizations offering study, work, intern, and volunteer abroad opportunities that want to reach the UC Berkeley campus community.

How Will You Benefit?

The Study Abroad Fair is the premier opportunity for you to:

  1. Promote your study, work, intern, and volunteer abroad programs to UC Berkeley students
  2. Gain access to over 1500 students interested in international opportunities
  3. Highlight your organization in campus web, social media, and print outlets
  4. Network with other exhibitors and professional colleagues.

Highlights

The Study Abroad Fair will take place in the Pauley Ballroom.

On-line Registration
Exhibitors will register online for the Study Abroad Fair, sending payment as paper checks or wire transfer.

Assigned Exhibitor Space
We will assign exhibitor table space according to the order in which we receive payment and Workers Compensation insurance paperwork. This lets us create a locator map for students and deliver materials shipped in advance to the appropriate tables.

Insurance Requirement
This year our office will purchase a blanket general liability insurance policy to cover all exhibitors, so you will not need to submit the certificate of insurance as in the past. However, University policy still requires organizations with offices in the USA to submit evidence of Workers Compensation insurance coverage with their registration confirmation and payment. See further details in the registration section.

Complimentary Wi-fi Access
All exhibitors have the opportunity to connect with complimentary wi-fi access to the UC Berkeley AirBears wireless network. However, we cannot guarentee that your wireless modem will interact successfully with Airbears, so please come prepared with alternative ways to present internet-based material.

Campus Shipping Vendor for Materials
Exhibitors will have the option to ship materials in advance directly to the venue using an on-campus vendor. See details below.

Lunch
Lunch will be provided.

Study Abroad Fair Exhibitor Directory and Students pages
The Study Abroad Fair provides a web page that lets students search for participating exhibitors with links to each exhibitor's website, designed to help students to find organizations that offer their desired destination, academic field of study, and type of experience abroad. You may review the 2011 Exhibitor Directory as an example. We also provide another page with information for students on how to maximize their Fair experience.

3200 Regatta Blvd. Suite E
Richmond, CA 94804
510-643-8232

Boxes must arrive between September 10-18. On each box, print Berkeley Study Abroad Fair so it will be identified easily by Chelsea Groen. Also, print your organization name clearly on each box, along with Box X of Y (1 of 5, for example) to tell us how many you are sending in total.

There is no charge, but please minimize the number of boxes you send. Keep in mind that leftover materials will be recycled as we have very limited space in our office.

You are responsible for sending your boxes in a trackable manner so that you know that all of your boxes arrived.
